Simple Cleansing protocols to literally eliminate the poop holding you + your health back!

Isn’t that wild and amazing!? + how many of us have ever been suggested to do this from our Dr.’s!? Not me, that’s for sure, but countless options for bandaid care or prescriptions that did nothing but temporarily fix the problem + end up being harder to re-cover from when I did decide to get to root causes of my health issues. 

I’m so grateful I fell into this holistic health life and it is now my mission to help as many women as I can regain their health and live healthy fulfilled lives! Prepping for our second pregnancy changed everything for me + i can’t keep this knowledge from all the women i am blessed to help.

It is important to note that cleansing with corresponding seasons of the year is ideal, however, if you have never done a cleanse before, start with the colon no matter what time of year it is. Many people make the mistake of doing a juice or liver cleanse first. The colon must come first. Gentle cleansing of the colon is probably the most important thing you can do for your health. If your elimination system has nowhere to dump it’s toxins, you could become quite ill when cleansing.

Inner Transformations Using Essential Oils: Powerful Cleansing Protocols for increased Energy and More Radiant Health as it’s a great one to ear mark/mark up and is much more in depth, but I created this page so people would have a jumping off point and a place to get the cleanse products that are recommended without having to have the physical book first.

Ok so first things first, WHY CLEANSE?

In short, to rid ourselves of the effects of our SAD diet (Standard American Diet) that creates a clogged digestive tract. With 70-80% of the immune system in the digestive tract, it is obvious that we must have our digestive tracts in top condition to ward off illness or

dis-ease in the body. Also a clogged or sluggish digestive tract clearly means less nutrition for the body. Some individuals get little if any nutritional value from their food even if they are eating good raw foods because they have a sluggish or clogged digestive tract.

From the book mentioned above, Dr. Leanne Deardeuff microscopically examined blood from people who claimed to be eating wholesome foods & found their red blood cells showed signs of malnutrition, lacking in B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E and/or iron, calcium and other minerals. This situation arose from long term neglect of their digestive tracts.

A toxic body combined with the lack of proper nutrition can lead to such illnesses as allergies, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and infertility, among others in addition to those directly related to the digestive system.

Allergies for example stem primarily from the body’s inability to fully and properly digest food. As much as 90% of allergies will clear up with a colon & liver cleanse.

Prepping for your CLEANSE:

  • In doing a cleanse, you need to take the right kinds of herbs and oils that will push the intestinal contents along, restoring the normal motility of the colon, and you also need enzymes that will break up the mucus and the lining of the bowel. Many people just take laxatives which is not great or ideal because laxatives disturb the muscle tone of the colon and causes it to decrease it’s activity. Then the body eventually becomes dependent on laxatives. 

  • Hydrocolonics are also a great way to remove waste from the body, but it is still necessary to do a colon cleanse to break up the hard material clinging to the walls of the colon and restore it to it’s natural, healthy condition.

To fully understand how to cleanse, you need to know what your goal is. 

You probably eat 3 meals a day, so shouldn’t you have 3 bowel movements? 

Where do you think that stuff is if you don’t get rid of it all day, or for several days, or a week or more? 

Well as a matter of fact, most people carry around at least 7 pounds of stagnant, impacted fecal matter in their colons. So gross, right? 

The goal for good colon function is 2-3 bowel movements a day that are fast and easy to pass, well formed and float in the toilet. So you’ll cleanse to achieve that goal.

Some people take 6 weeks to get there; others take up to a year.

The majority of people take about 3 months.

But it’s not quite as simple as having several bowel movements a day. According to Dr. Bernard Jensen, a leader in the field of herbal cleansing for over 50 years says you should cleanse until you pass what he describes as the lining coating the bowel, or in other words, the mucoid plaque. It is black and long + holds together in a long tube shape, and it consists of all the caked material that has been lining the bowel and making it difficult for the bowel to function as it was designed to. A good colon cleanse is well balanced to support the kidneys and liver while you are cleansing. A lot of toxins are released while cleansing that upon entering the blood stream or liver would make you nauseous, headachy, weak or sick. A well balanced colon cleanse will have herbs in it that break up the mucus, release the caked-on lining from the bowel, absorb toxins so they don’t get into the blood stream, stimulate peristaltic action and add bulk to help move the intestinal contents through the system. 

The cleanse that I recommend to every woman I have helped & have seen the most amazing results with is from Young Living Essential Oils. It’s called the Cleansing Trio and it is a simple kit of 3 supplements: Comfortone, ICP (affectionately nicknamed I C Poop ;-) and Essentialzyme - all in one set - for slightly less than buying these 3 products separately. 

In addition to being effective as a cleanse, it has enzymes to help you digest your food until the body can do it on it’s own. Another reason I chose to recommend Young Living’s colon cleanse is that the taste isn’t bad and it doesn’t make you sick while you take it. A HUGE plus for a colon cleanse & a pretty important factor in your successful completion of a cleanse! 

Some other colon cleanses are not as well balanced with the ingredients necessary to support the liver and kidney and, as a result, a person might become quite nauseous, achy, headachy or gassy. You want the toxins to leave your body, not be put back into circulation.

For those cleansing to restore their fertility - the extra benefits to consider after your cleansing experience:

  • Your eggs will be much healthier, which means a healthier baby.

  • Your body will be much healthier, which most likely will mean you’ll enjoy a much healthier pregnancy which means much better outcomes for baby/less complications in pregnancy and your birthing experience - I mean who doesn’t want that !? (Even if your circumstance warrants going a medical route, your body will be so much better off and your chances of those methods working are so much higher)

My last tip for a successful cleanse and then we’ll dive into the protocol.

You must drink @ least half your weight in oz of water, and more is recommended, between 2-3 liters of water or about 8-12 8 oz glasses of clean filtered or spring water a day. For Example if you weigh 150 lbs, that would be 75 oz at minimum. This will greatly benefit your kidneys. You will need to drink water religiously while on the cleanse, or else all the fiber you’ll be taking will create a blockage rather than an easy bowel movement. 

The Protocol:

-Day 1: Start w/ 1 Comfortone capsule in the morning

-Day 2: Take 1 Comfortone capsule in the morning, and another at night.

-Day 3: Take 2 Comfortone capsules in the am and another in the pm.

-Day 4: Take 2 Comfortone capsules in the am and another 2 in the pm.

-Day 5: From this day forward, increase one capsule a day, alternating day and night until you get to 2-3 BM’s a day.

The Comfortone is designed to restore peristalsis to the colon which means your intestines may get a little gurgley, & perhaps even sore. There is no need to be alarmed if this happens as the comfortone creates activity where there was once was only stagnation.

If it has been a week and you’re not having 2-3 bowel movements, here are a few tips to try:

+ Add a drop or 2 of Peppermint oil to a glass of water or Vitaflex the oil into your feet and see if that helps.

+ Taking about 1/2- 1 tsp of Natural Calm a day will also assist in the bowels moving. Try a little before you try a lot, because it can be quite the laxative! (ADD PHOTO LINK TO NC)

+ Also I have seen people not getting enough fatty acids into the gut so it is “dehydrated.” Fatty meats and fish help there, or you can go the supplement route by getting a good fish oil; we like Omegagize.

+ Butter also plays an important role in the gut flora, so eat all you can. Get a good organic or even better- grass fed butter - we like Kerry Gold that you can find at most grocery stores throughout the US and even many other countries.

+ A good probiotic also helps - we like Life 9 from Young Living as it is a 9 strain pro-biotic so it covers a lot more bases.

+ Sometimes the problem is that the low back and pelvic bones need to be adjusted by a Chiropractor to get the proper nerve function working to the area. (I cannot recommend this highly enough for overall health in general and I believe Chiropractors and functional medicine Dr.s are the Doctors of the future!)

- After you have achieved the state of 2 or 3 good bowel movements a day, begin taking 1 tsp of ICP in the mornings in addition to the Comfortone. 

ICP is a proprietary blend of fibers and herbs created to provide bulk and nutrition. The best way to use it is to stir into juice or water and drink it down quickly before it gets thick. 

- Add 1/2 teaspoon of ICP a day until you are achieving large bulky stools but are not constipated. Gary Young suggests that you continue adding ICP until you get to 1 T a day in the am and 1 T at night, but you’ll only need to take as much is needed to achieve a good solid bowel movement w/o feeling constipated.

The Comfortone is activating your bowels while the ICP adds bulk and some scouring action to carry the gunk away. Again make sure to drink your water faithfully to keep everything moving along - I cannot stress this enough :-)

- Taking one Essentialzyme between meals also helps break up the plaque in the colon and absorb toxins. Essentialzyme is packed full of enzymes for that purpose.

Continue on with the ICP, Comfortone and Essentialzymes until you have completely cleansed your colon, passed the “lining” described above and are still having 2 or 3 good, easy bowel movements a day. 

To re-iterate, this will likely take months - stick with it, the benefits of your lifelong overall health will be SOOO worth it!

  • While on the colon cleanse, you can take whatever supplements you want to take.   • Many people want to know what they should eat while on a colon cleanse. I generally don’t tell people to go on a different diet while cleansing but it doesn’t hurt to change to a more natural and healthy diet. The cleanse will begin to assist you in changing your diet naturally as your body will be drawn to healthier food.
